چکیده

We consider the asymptotic behavior of the solution of the non-local parabolic equation ut = (κ (u))rr + (κ (u))r r + f (u) (a+2πb ∫ 1 0 f (u)r dr) 2 , for 0 < r < 1, t > 0, with a homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. The equation is the so-called Ohmic-heating model, which comes from thermal electricity in this paper, u and f (u) represent the temperature of the conductor and the electrical conductivity. The model prescribes the dimensionless temperature when the electric current flows through two axis-symmetric conductors, subject to a fixed electric potential difference. The global existence and uniform boundedness of the solution to the problem indicate that the temperature of the conductor remains uniformly bounded. Furthermore, the asymptotic stability of the global solution is obtained. MSC: 35K20; 35K55; 35K65; 80M35

Asymptotic Behavior of a Nonlocal Parabolic Problem in Ohmic Heating Process

In this paper, we consider the asymptotic behavior of the nonlocal parabolic problem ut = ∆u+ λf(u) ( ∫ Ω f(u)dx )p , x ∈ Ω, t > 0, with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition, where λ > 0, p > 0, f is nonincreasing. It is found that: (a) For 0 < p ≤ 1, u(x, t) is globally bounded and the unique stationary solution is globally asymptotically stable for any λ > 0; (b) For 1 < p < 2, u(x, t) is...

Stability of Boundary Layers for the Nonisentropic Compressible Circularly Symmetric 2D Flow

In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of the circularly symmetric solution to the initial boundary value problem of the compressible non-isentropic Navier-Stokes equations in a two-dimensional exterior domain with impermeable boundary condition when the viscosities and the heat conduction coefficient tend to zero. By multi-scale analysis, we obtain that away from the boundary the comp...

Asymptotic Stability of Equilibrium States for Ambipolar Plasmas

We investigate a system of partial differential equations modeling ambipolar plasmas. The ambipolar — or zero current — model is obtained from general plasmas equations in the limit of vanishing Debye length. In this model, the electric field is expressed as a linear combination of macroscopic variable gradients. We establish that the governing equations can be written as a symmetric form by us...

Stability and sensory shelf life of orange juice pasteurized by continuous ohmic heating.

Electrical heating of food products provides rapid and uniform heating, resulting in less thermal damage to the product. The objective of this research was to examine the effects of ohmic heating on the stability of orange juice with comparison to conventional pasteurization. During storage at 4 degrees C, degradation curves of ascorbic acid followed a linear decrease pattern in both ohmic-heat...
